The Herald Superb marks a pinnacle in the Vispring collection, where the spring architecture deepens to three rows of hand-nested calico pocket springs while the upholstery remains deliberately clean, making tension choice the primary variable rather than filling weight. In a King size, 1,716 Vanadium steel springs are individually nested by hand inside calico pockets, each coil moving independently so two sleepers exert no mechanical influence on each other. The spring is crafted from Vanadium steel for fatigue resistance and long-lasting calibrated tension, with four tension options—Soft, Medium, Firm, and Extra Firm—available at order; King sizes can be specified in split firmness to accommodate differing partner preferences without compromise.

The upholstery layers above the springs use exclusively natural fibres: bonded British fleece wool and cotton, along with blends of British fleece wool and cotton. Wool sourced from British flocks helps regulate temperature by passively absorbing and releasing moisture vapour, while maintaining loft without synthetic reinforcement. Cotton provides an even, breathable base to prevent the filling stack from compressing unevenly over time. The border is upholstered with protective wool and reinforced with two rows of hand side-stitching to anchor the spring edge to the border wire, preserving the usable sleeping surface to the very perimeter. The mattress is hand-tufted with felt washers to compress the filling layers into a consistent density and prevent migration, complemented by horizontal handles and perimeter air vents that promote air exchange as the sleeper moves.
